Animal Kingdom Information

Walt Disney World's newest theme park lets you explore the unpredictable world of animals on safari, in a prehistoric world, or at stage shows that put the jam in the jungle.  If you are planning a trip to Disney World be sure to check our Disney's Animal Kingdom.  This page will provide you with all the Animal Kingdom information your will need during your stay.  Disney's Animal Kingdom is separated into 7 distinct areas:

• The Oasis

Leave the urban world behind and enter a lush tropical garden filled with exotic birds and animals. Look out for the Parma Wallaby, tree kangaroo, giant anteater, sloth, Chinese deer, exotic birds, and more.

• Camp Minnie-Mickey

Whether you watch Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (as Mickey and the gang ride a caravan of crazy, colorful safari vehicles to the beat of wildly infectious rhythms) or visit the "Festival of the Lion King", where Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa star in a tribal celebration of pure pageantry at "Festival of the Lion King - you're gonna love this area of the park.  You'll see a charming show with a host of live animals, starring Pocahontas and Grandmother Willow.  And even Meet Mickey Mouse and his pals, who are there to greet you every day in their own special vacation spots.

• Discovery Island

It's Tough to Be a Bug!® Attraction
Flik and Hopper from Disney/Pixar's "A Bug's Life" present an eye-popping 3-D adventure in It's Tough To Be A Bug® Attraction.

Tree of Life
An elaborate tribute to the richness and diversity of animal life.

Discovery Island® Trails
Explore paths around the Tree of Life to see lemurs, kangaroos and capybaras.

• Africa Area

Kilimanjaro Safaris® Expedition
Travel through an African savannah, home to freely roaming animals.

Pangani Forest Exploration Trail® Walking Tour
Bathed in lush jungle foliage, this research center is filled with exotic East African animals.

Kali River Rapids® Attraction
Hop on to a 12-person raft and hold on tight as you challenge the Kali River Rapids® Attraction.

Maharajah Jungle Trek® Attraction

Top Animal Kingdom Attractions

	Kilimanjaro Safaris Climb aboard your open-sided safari vehicle for an exciting expedition for the entire family. Animals from Africa freely roam through acres of savannah, rivers and rocky hills. Look out for giraffes, hippos, elephants, rhinos, lions and poachers too!
	DINOSAUR Whoosh back to primeval times for a wild ride of an expedition to complete your dangerous mission. The clock is ticking on your Time Rover and you have mere minutes to rescue a stray dinosaur. Beware the hungry clutches of one large meat-eating predator and the devastating power of an impending asteroid! It's fast. It's a blast! It's in the past!
	Festival of the Lion King Plunge right into the middle of the action in this cleverly staged in-the-round production featuring songs from the film and a cast of familiar faces, including Simba, Timon and Pumbaa. Combining the pageantry of a parade with all the excitement of a tribal celebration, this is a lavish, high energy spectacle created through song, dance and specialty performances.
	It's Tough to be a Bug See the world through a bug's eyes as you peek into the hilarious and dazzling 3-D world of amazing and amusing insects as they astound you with a one-of-a-kind stage show. Laugh at the fun and startling in-theater effects like overhead giant spiders! The only thing that will "bug" you is if you miss it!
	Kali River Rapids Raft down the turbulent waters of the Chakranadi River aboard a 12-passenger raft through an enchanting Asian rain forest. A blazing inferno rushes toward you! Escape down a rushing waterfall! Beware of gushing geysers! Get set to get wet!
	Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade Get in on the revelry as this musical street party blasts through Africa, Discovery Island® and Asia. This rompin' and rollin' afternoon parade is a high-energy imaginative celebration of the wild spirit of the Animal Kingdom. Starring Rafiki, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Goofy and over sixty Cast Members! It's jammin'!
